After snuggling in that last piece to complete the hull, there comes a little smoothing with spokeshave and plane, and then lots of finishing wiwth block and sandpaper.

With a couple of friends to assist, the 'glass is epoxied to the hull, and the colours of the book matched strips come alive again.

The epoxy has been sanded, ready to varnish, but first some temporary straps to hold the station molds in place prior to turning the hull over.

The hull is turned right-side-up and is resting on cradles. Now the contour of the deck can be visualized from the profiles of the station molds.

At each station mold, the sheer clamp has been brought to a matching angle using a wood rasp, and "joining the dots" will prepare the top of the sheer clamp for a fair deck line.

The cover boards are in place and epoxied to the sheer clamps; the king board is down the centre and planking is in progress parrallel to the king board.

The blue plastic prevented the deck and hull from being glued together. The last piece of decking,over on the far side, carefully shaped and ready to glue in place.

Epoxying the 'glass to the deck after the usual preparation work of spoke shave and plane topped off with sandpaper and elbow grease.

Smoothing the underside of the deck using a scraper(which works surprisingly well) aand finished off with hand sanding.The inner surfaces of deck and hull were 'glassed and sanded before final assembly.

After careful marking out of the cockpit and hatches, the cuts were made with much concentration and two steady hands on the jigsaw.
