This canoe was built by Brian Heaslip and Bob Arthur of BIG2CANOE fame who are responsible for building the raffle canoes for the Marshville Heritage Festival in Wainfleet, Ontario every year on the Labor Day weekend.
This particular canoe was built as a demonstration to show how they build a cedar-strip canoe following Ted Moores CanoeCraft book but employing their own stapleless method.
The highlight strip is a unique feature in North America, as far as they know. They also install a custom painter hole in the bow and stern. This can be used to help tie down for transport .

The kayak was built by the one and only owner, Bill Rubenstein; this was done in the workshop of Canadian Canoes.

The Ontario WHITEHALL
A Canadian Canoes Design
Mr Gaetan St Onge lives in St Zotique in the Province of Quebec, Canada.
This town is located downriver from Cornwall Ontario about halfway between Cornwall and Montreal.
It is on the north shore of the St Lawrence River and about a one hour drive north of the state of New York.
Gaetan told us that problems with his lower back are the reason for selling this lovely boat which he built in 2011.
It has not been used very often.
The Whitehall is offered at $6000.00 Canadian funds; price is negotiable.
